Bringing Research to Life: My Eye-Opening Visit to CRIN

As an agroindustrial extensionist, I recently had the opportunity to visit the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), and I was blown away by the amazing work they're doing. A Research visit to CRIN From cocoa to kola, coffee, tea, and cashew, the research being conducted at CRIN has the potential to revolutionize the agricultural sector. What struck me most was the emphasis on practicality. The research isn't just about publishing papers or collecting data – it's about developing solutions that farmers can actually use. I saw firsthand the incredible work being done to develop disease-resistant varieties, sustainable farming practices, and other innovations that can make a real difference in farmers' lives. As an extensionist, my role is to connect farmers with these resources and help them implement best practices.
