1. Insecurity in Farming Regions: Boko Haram and other unrest disrupt farming activities in the North, limiting food production.

2. High Cost of Transportation: Poor road infrastructure and high fuel prices make it expensive to move food from farms to markets, inflating prices.

3. The Herdsman-Farmer Crisis: Clashes between herders and farmers disrupt agricultural production and limit grazing lands.

4. Depreciating Naira: A weaker naira makes it more expensive to import food and fertilizers, pushing prices even higher.

5. Post-Harvest Losses: Inadequate storage facilities lead to spoilage of crops, reducing available food and driving prices up. 



Solutions for a More Food-Secure Nigeria
